Episode Overview

Facing a looming deadline to settle his debts, habitual gambler Harold devises a plan to plant a bomb beneath his wealthy uncle Big Fred's Rolls Royce. However, fate intervenes when Big Fred is tragically struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver during his morning jog. Moments later, the car detonates as the gardener attempts to relocate it away from encroaching television crews. Just when Columbo believes he has enough evidence to pin the crime on Harold, the shocking twist occurs: Harold is found murdered.
