Episode Overview

Gordon disparages Edward, calling him a "useless old steam-pot" and suggests it's time for him to retire. The larger engines back Gordon's opinion, but Percy is distressed by their comments and decides to inform the Fat Controller. Ultimately, Edward demonstrates his true value when he comes to the aid of Duck and Gordon during a difficult situation, proving he is indeed a Very Useful engine.
