Episode Overview

Confronted by the violent murder of a close friend and his son’s grave illness, Al Capone begins to reconsider his life of crime. While his son suffers from a high fever, Capone attends a farewell dinner for Carmine Maggi, an old friend leaving Chicago and the Mob for a fresh start. Maggi urges Capone to exit the criminal underworld, and Capone, troubled by his son's condition, finds his words resonate deeply. Stepping away briefly, he returns to find Maggi shot dead, realizing he might have been the target. Agent Ness subpoenas Capone for questioning but doubts his involvement, ultimately ordering him to remain in Chicago.
