Episode Overview
Lamont brings Fred to the doctor for a routine checkup, but Fred is hit with a hefty medical bill. Aware of Fred's financial struggles, the doctor offers him six months to settle the payment. Lamont, overhearing their discussion, mistakenly believes that Fred only has six months left to live. Fearing for his father's life, he enlists the help of friends and family to throw a celebration and makes an effort to arrange for Lena Horne to come and see Fred one last time.
