The Pillars of the Earth (2010)

Episode Overview

Malloy and Reed are on patrol in a Los Angeles neighborhood with a significant retired community. They respond to various calls, including a purse snatching where the thief initially escapes but is later apprehended during a routine sweep. They also encounter an elderly man with outstanding warrants attempting to break into a vehicle at a church parking lot. Tensions rise as an elderly man and woman argue over her eviction, leading to her arrest when she vandalizes their patrol car with a baseball bat. Other incidents include a dispute over five dollars and a baby stroller that rolls into a nearby lake. They meet George, a retired cop turned security guard, who seeks camaraderie and later helps them catch some robbers, sharing his feelings of loneliness as he reflects on losing many of his friends.
