Episode Overview

After returning from a refreshing break, Ted discovers that things are tense at home. Julie and Dave are arguing due to stress from work and finances, and Julie finds comfort in light-hearted chats with Hamish, a friend from her mothers' group. Concerned about her affection for Hamish and Dave's late-night trips to his shed, Ted encourages Dave to focus on what truly matters. The next day, Dave decides to take Ted's advice, and he and Julie set off for a much-needed afternoon together. However, their plans are derailed when the police call about a robbery at Dave's worksite. Although he isn't implicated, the incident leads his boss to fire him. Frustrated, Dave wrongly accuses Coby of being the thief, based on Ted revealing Coby's dishonesty about his living situation.
