After Doberman unexpectedly receives $500 from an insurance payout, he quickly loses it to three con artists in a poker game. Bilko steps in to retrieve the money by outsmarting the cheaters. However, Doberman soon falls victim to another scam, ending up tricked into purchasing the hotel from yet another con man, causing him to lose the money all over again.
