During his time in the war, Bilko forms a close friendship with a French family. Years later, the daughter reaches out to reconnect with her beloved "Papa Bilko." At the same time, the platoon's resident ladies' man, Pearly, is on a mission to set up dates for his buddies but unexpectedly finds himself smitten with her.
