As he investigates the incident, he collaborates with a retired marine archaeologist who is trying to authenticate a collection of doubloons believed to be salvaged from an 18th-century Spanish galleon. Together, they uncover that the coins are actually fake, leading Lee closer to identifying Amanda's shooter and unraveling a deeper conspiracy.
