Episode Overview

Grylls is dropped off by helicopter into the ocean near a remote Pacific island. He showcases his skills in long-distance swimming, constructing a shelter, and harvesting coconuts. To search for passing ships, he crafts a bamboo raft, but soon finds himself encircled by tiger sharks. Utilizing a fish bone hook, he catches fish from his raft and demonstrates how to attract a ship’s attention by reflecting sunlight with his polished knife.
