After a catastrophic lab incident, Dr. Otto Octavius transforms into the deranged villain known as Doctor Octopus when his mechanical arms become permanently attached to him. Fueled by a desire for vengeance against the Hardy Foundation for the disgrace they inflicted upon him, he kidnaps Felicia Hardy, using her as leverage to settle the score.
