As she adjusts to her newfound identity as a hero, the Black Cat finds herself in the clutches of Alistair Smythe, who is now allied with Silvermane, mysteriously confined in an infant's body. Smythe presents Spider-Man with a dire choice: either apprehend the Scorpion or the Vulture within a day, or the Black Cat will meet a grim fate.
