In Washington, Rygaard's ambitions to dominate the mountain falter as the team nearly loses control of the yarder. Meanwhile, the Oakes crew takes advantage of their rivals' misfortunes, and one of their members discovers an unusual solution for a toothache while deep in the woods. In the Bayou, Shelby strains his boat to its limits in pursuit of a massive cypress trapped inland. Up on Kupreanof Island in Alaska, Joe makes a comeback, intent on re-energizing his team. In Florida, Chapman races a looming storm to uncover river gold, while the Dreadknots plot with an adversary of Chapman to maintain their edge.
