Reeling from a recent mob hit, Van Owen chooses to leave the firm temporarily to recover before seeking new employment. Meanwhile, Kuzak surprises Becker by pushing him to sever ties with a client who is exploiting court proceedings for her television show's ratings. The charges against Alden are ultimately dropped as Kelsey and Markowitz struggle to align their testimonies regarding their mugging. However, they cleverly leverage Alden's greed to recover Kelsey's ring, leading to Alden's re-arrest on perjury charges.
