Val gets chosen to compete on "Danger Island," a thrilling new reality show where six contestants must survive on a deserted island for a chance to win two million dollars. However, the pilot episode takes a dark turn when one contestant is murdered, prompting the arrival of V.I.P. investigators. Jeff Groom, a network executive, insists that only two crew members and the show's producer accompany them, leading Quick to volunteer himself and Nikki. Once on the island, the situation escalates as two more contestants and the producer are killed, while another contestant survives a brutal attack. Quick identifies a weapon used in the killings, prompting Kay to access military files that reveal the killer is Major Ving Talbot, an army weapons designer presumed dead. Talbot accuses the army of testing his prototypes on their own troops. Tasha and Johnny join the investigation, leading to a confrontation with Talbot, who prepares to unveil his motives.
