Episode Overview

David, who started the funeral home Holmes and Sons five years ago, has found it challenging to turn a profit. He’s eager to make the business successful enough to leave it to his two young sons, but they’re unsure about wanting to join the family business. Meanwhile, Sheena, the office manager, remains steadfast in her belief that they’re operating correctly and resists any changes. Alex realizes the funeral industry is fraught with ethical dilemmas. However, David seems to let his compassion and moral considerations hinder his ability to charge for services. His leadership also fails to inspire his sons, leaving them unmotivated and disengaged as they navigate the difficult balance of profiting from people's grief.
