Episode Overview

Andrew Anderson, an advertising executive, stumbles upon his wife's lifeless body at the foot of the basement stairs. Detective Sgt. Cresse, convinced of Anderson's guilt, devises a plan to manipulate him into confessing. He leads Anderson to believe that his wife is alive and involved in an affair with a colleague from the agency. Ultimately, Andrew is exonerated of the murder charge, but the relentless pressure from Cresse has driven him to the brink of madness.
