Episode Overview

Newlyweds Dave and Bonnie Snowden explore the derelict house of Bonnie's deceased father. While inside, Dave discovers a locked door and becomes convinced that it hides something of great worth. Later, they share their marriage news with Bonnie's elderly mother, Mrs. Daniels, who suspects Dave is only after her daughter's inheritance. She attempts to bribe him into annulling the marriage, but Dave, in desperate need of money, refuses. To prove his sincerity, he persuades Bonnie to stage a suicide attempt with sleeping pills, hoping it will win her mother over. Tragically, Bonnie is allergic to the pills and dies unexpectedly. After the funeral, Mrs. Daniels informs Dave that her perspective has shifted and gifts him the abandoned house. Intrigued, Dave returns to the home, still curious about the locked door.
