Episode Overview
After the brutal murder of his teenage son Tommy in Northfield, John Cooley embarks on a quest for revenge, driven by his extreme religious beliefs. Discovering a fragment of a car headlight at the scene, he tracks down and kills its owner, Frency La Font, along with an elderly librarian linked to the vehicle. The string of killings sends shockwaves through the community, prompting residents to demand action from Sheriff Will Pearce. Complicating matters, Pearce's girlfriend, Susan Marsh, becomes a target since she bought the car from La Font. Just as Cooley attempts to eliminate her, Sheriff Pearce intervenes, revealing that La Font had confessed to Tommy's murder in his will.
