Episode Overview
Title: Where the Woodbine Twineth Plot: Nell Snyder has been caring for her orphaned niece, but she grows increasingly alarmed by the girl's peculiar behavior. Her niece consistently attributes her mischief to an imaginary companion named Mr. Peppercorn. When Captain King Snyder, the girl's grandfather, gifts her a Creole voodoo doll, Nell's anxiety deepens as her niece claims it came from Mr. Peppercorn. The girl names the doll Numa and treats it like a living being. Convinced the doll is a threat to her niece's spirit, Nell follows them into the woods, only to inadvertently scare her niece away, unaware that a sinister exchange has already taken place. Later, she is horrified to find the doll bearing her niece's likeness.
