Episode Overview

James Jarvis, a swindler pretending to be a stock market expert, finds himself in a promising position after befriending the affluent Mary Crawford and her companion, Agatha. He gains control over Mary’s fortune but soon claims to have lost it all in disastrous investments. Devastated by the news, Mary takes her own life. Agatha, seeking vengeance, cleverly hides the circumstances surrounding the death and invites James over. She ensures his fingerprints are on the weapon and locks him in the room with Mary’s body before alerting the authorities, accusing him of murder. In the ensuing police shootout, James is killed, fulfilling Agatha's quest for revenge.
