Episode Overview

Martha and Detective Johnson rush to the Gimble residence after hearing Pat's cries for help, but the couple skillfully conceals Garth's abusive behavior. Meanwhile, Mary presents Charlie with an alpha wave machine to address his impotence issues. Jody expresses a desire for Charlie to take charge of his racing career. In a conversation with Loretta, Mary brings up Charlie's wish for an expensive transplant from Dr. Fratkis, but suggests that Loretta should provoke jealousy in Charlie to encourage intimacy. Mary is impressed by Tom's professionalism in a TV commercial, just before Pat unexpectedly appears at their back door, collapsing in the kitchen.
