Meanwhile, the Shumway family opens up about their secrets to a recently recuperated George. Tom dismisses Mary's idea of him returning to his former assembly job. In a visit to Brian, Mary threatens to use blackmail to secure Tom's reinstatement at the plant. Additionally, Loretta, taking on the persona of Lulu, agrees to accept Lou's proposal to become the new waitress at the diner.
