Episode Overview

Charlie successfully brings the bandaged accident victim out of her coma, but he's heartbroken when she writes that she does not recognize him. Meanwhile, Mary receives an enigmatic call from Tom, who avoids explaining his absence. Mae invites Mary to serve as an usher at the town meeting. When Tom finally returns, he confesses to going on a drunken spree but omits that he may have been with Lulu/Loretta. Mac pressures Loretta to respond to his marriage proposal, and as she considers destroying a cherished photo, Mac realizes it depicts Charlie Haggers. Attorney Nat Dearborn advises Pat to accept a plea deal regarding Garth's death, as a jury might view the Christmas tree stabbing as scandalous.
