Episode Overview
In the series finale, Carter accidentally proposes to Sue after a misunderstanding on her part. True to his word, they share their engagement news with everyone in Rome. This prompts Kenny and Max to consider marriage as well, but they soon find themselves second-guessing their decision. While digging in her friend Selma's backyard, Myriam Wambaugh stumbles upon human remains, leading to Selma's trial for murder. With his ex-wife's encouragement, Wambaugh successfully defends Selma, reigniting feelings between Doug and Myriam, who opt for a triple wedding alongside Carter & Sue and Kenny & Max. Meanwhile, Jill feels her marriage with Jimmy is at a breaking point and moves in with Joey to reflect, leaving Jimmy to contemplate his own situation. At the wedding, the three couples exchange vows, and the atmosphere of love inspires Jimmy and Jill to reconcile. The series concludes with the cast posing for a group photo in their wedding attire.
