Michael Palin's New Europe (2007)

Episode Overview

In the stunning Tatra mountains of Slovakia, Michael takes on the task of skinning a pig and learns the art of sausage-making. Afterward, he heads to Brno to check out the renowned mime school run by Tibor Turba, where he is challenged to perform a mime act portraying a cockerel. Continuing his journey aboard a DC3, which played a role in the Berlin airlift, he makes his way to the island of Rugen, originally developed by Hitler for the KDF ('Strength through Joy') initiative.
