Episode Overview

On July 11, 1991, Nigeria Airways Flight 2120 departs from Jeddah's King Abdulaziz International Airport, carrying 247 Hajj pilgrims and 14 crew members. During takeoff, a tire fails, igniting a fire in the landing gear. Unbeknownst to the crew, they retract the gear, allowing the flames to escalate. As complications arise, the crew attempts to return to the airport; however, the aircraft becomes uncontrollable and ultimately disintegrates in mid-air, crashing approximately three kilometers from the runway.
