On March 7, 2007, Garuda Indonesia Flight 200 was concluding a standard domestic route from Jakarta to Yogyakarta when disaster struck during landing. The aircraft made a forceful touchdown, causing it to bounce uncontrollably before veering off the runway. Tragically, this mishap resulted in the loss of 21 lives among the 140 passengers and crew members aboard.
