On January 7, 1994, United Express Flight 6291, under the operation of Atlantic Coast Airlines, tragically crashes just 1.2 miles from the runway while making its final approach to Port Columbus International Airport. The aircraft enters a stall, resulting in the loss of the two pilots, the flight attendant, and two passengers aboard.
