Episode Overview
On November 22, 2003, a DHL-operated Airbus A300 from European Air Transport ascends from Baghdad International Airport when its left wing suddenly detonates, resulting in a severe hydraulic fluid leak that paralyzes the flight controls. The crew skillfully maneuvers the plane by adjusting the engine thrust to guide the aircraft, ultimately achieving a safe landing 16 minutes later. It is discovered that a surface-to-air missile was fired at the plane during its ascent.
