Episode Overview

On August 14, 2005, air traffic control loses communication with Helios Airways Flight 522. Two Hellenic Air Force fighter jets are dispatched to assess the situation, only to discover that nearly all passengers and crew are unresponsive. Moments later, the plane depletes its fuel and crashes, resulting in the tragic loss of all 121 lives. The incident stems from a mistaken adjustment to the cabin pressurization system, leading to hypoxia for the pilots and everyone else aboard.
