Mitch finds it hard to conceal his disappointment over the less-than-ideal wedding cake topper that Cam's dad carved from soap. Meanwhile, Phil offers his assistance to Gloria in selling her apartment from before Jay, but their efforts take an unexpected turn at a local hair salon. On the other hand, Claire and the kids arrive at Jay's place ahead of schedule to help him prepare for the family gathering, but instead of working together, they clash and argue.
