Mystery Diners (2012)

Episode Overview

After a near-fatal paragliding accident in Brazil, the owner of Gauchos Village in Glendale, California, returns to find inconsistencies in his revenue and inventory. Suspecting his chef might be involved, he enlists the Mystery Diners to investigate. Their findings reveal that the chef isn’t responsible; instead, the manager is the real culprit. He has exploited the owner's absence by spreading negative rumors among the staff, allowing women to take home leftovers—against the churrascaria's policy—selling meat to employees, and even hosting a barbecue at his home using the restaurant's supplies. When confronted, the manager claims the food and alcohol were intended for a surprise barbecue for the owner, but the owner doesn't buy it and promptly fires him.
