The family is not happy when Lionel announces that he plans to move out, and they are particularly upset about his decision to have Damon Evans as a roommate. Louise, played by Isabel Sanford, expresses her discontent, while George, portrayed by Sherman Hemsley, is equally outraged. Helen, portrayed by Roxie Roker, shares in their frustration, and Tom, played by Franklin Cover, adds to the tension. Jenny, played by Berlinda Tolbert, also finds herself caught up in the family's disapproval of Lionel's choices.
