Michael's longtime friend and ex-band member, Johnny "Saxophone" Watson, arrives in town for a performance, only to find his pianist unable to join. Excited by the opportunity, Michael jumps at the chance to fill in, stubbornly overlooking the fact that his musical talents may have dulled over time. Meanwhile, Franklin remains oblivious to the fact that his little sister Aretha has a far superior singing ability compared to the pitch-challenged Kady, showcasing how love can sometimes cloud one's judgment.
