Darnell feels frustrated with Maya after she splurges on an extravagant dress due to her friends' influence, and he becomes even more irritated when she decides to return it. He interprets her actions as a lack of faith in his ability to support her financially. Meanwhile, Sean struggles with his sex addiction, and Joan attempts to assist him over the phone before ultimately traveling to New York to be with him. He confesses that managing to have sex just a few times a month is a challenge for him and proposes that she move in with him. Unable to commit, they decide to part ways. In the end, Yvonne finds a way to assure William by resigning from the police force.
