Episode Overview
Facing mounting bills, Maya contemplates taking a writing position with a pornographic publisher that already employs Lynn. Despite the financial pressure, she declines the offer due to her ethical beliefs and continues to sell her book on the streets. However, her efforts falter, partly due to unauthorized copies, leading her to abandon her dreams and return to a job as a legal secretary. When that doesn’t pan out, she reluctantly accepts the porn writing gig, but luck turns in her favor, allowing her to resign after receiving unexpected encouragement for her writing. Meanwhile, William and Joan clash when he spends Thanksgiving without her, and Toni makes a pact to limit her discussions about her pregnancy.
