Episode Overview

Joan faces a whirlwind of challenges as she prepares for the grand opening of her restaurant, desperately trying to land a celebrity guest. Matters worsen when her publicist unexpectedly resigns. While insisting that she’s handling everything, Joan feels a deep pang of jealousy upon spotting William with another woman, only to learn that their connection is not what she had thought. She fears their friendship is irreparably damaged. Meanwhile, Maya, Toni, and Lynn worry they haven’t been there for Joan enough and make a concerted effort to persuade actress/comedienne Mo'Nique to join the event at J-Spot.
