Episode Overview

An organ grinder accompanied by his monkey sets off chaos, revealing the man as Count Manzeppi, who is after a small wind-up bird toy. This toy is rumored to hold the Philosopher's Stone, said to turn ordinary materials into gold. West and Gordon pursue Manzeppi to his hideout, encountering numerous obstacles along the way. Ultimately, Manzeppi makes a hasty getaway in a balloon, leaving his henchwoman Gerda transformed into a statue of gold, while the bird and the stone appear to be lost. However, as the guys depart for the night, the stone mysteriously reappears on their train.
