Upon Beth's return to the Big Island compound, she discovers a wrecked SUV and suspects either Dog or Justin might be responsible. When she confronts Dog, he suggests a surprising third possibility: the Menehune, Hawaii's legendary tricksters. As the team tracks their elusive target through rugged volcanic terrain and the untouched wilderness of Puna, Dog entertains them with tales of these enchanting figures. He also vows that once they capture their quarry, he will disclose the true identity of the real mischief-maker behind it all.
