Episode Overview

To secure Retsu Kudou's assistance in capturing Gongjin Zhou, Tatsuya, Miyuki, and Minami travel to Nara, the Kudou family's ancestral home. Retsu is quick to agree to Tatsuya's request and introduces him to his grandson, Minoru. Although Minoru is a year younger than Tatsuya and physically frail, he is reputed to be a strong magician. During dinner, he learns about Tatsuya's quest for a traditional magic user and offers his support. The following day, while Tatsuya and his companions explore the Traditionalists’ hideout in Nara with Minoru’s help, they find themselves ambushed by the Traditionalists in Nara Park.
