After spending over twenty years in the Marshalsea, Mr. Dorrit finally gains his freedom and decides to take his family overseas in hopes of starting anew among society. Meanwhile, Miss Wade hires Rigaud to gather information on Pet and Henry Gowan. Seizing the opportunity, Rigaud shadows the Dorrits as they travel, determined to uncover the link between them and the House of Clennam.
