Combat! (1962)

Episode Overview

During a fierce attack by a German tank and its machine gunner, D'Amato and Wharton, who are good friends in the platoon, find themselves cut off from their comrades. D'Amato successfully maneuvers around the tank and seizes the machine gun, turning it on the German soldiers providing support. However, he sustains injuries in the process. When the rest of the platoon arrives, they see Wharton operating the machine gun, leading Lt. Hanley to mistakenly believe that Wharton was the one who bravely captured the German armor.
