While trying to cash a check at a convenience store, Stephanie Seabrum is suddenly confronted by an armed man who robs and shoots her before her boyfriend can intervene. As the investigation into Stephanie's murder unfolds, Detective JD Stephens is summoned to another crime scene where two teenagers, Blanca Badillo and Policarpio Luviano, have been fatally shot in a drive-by incident on a crowded Atlanta highway. With the Atlanta Homicide team now handling two separate cases, they face a chilling dilemma: could these incidents be connected?
