Episode Overview
In 1000 BC, the Israelites are in conflict with the Philistines. Following a brutal civil war that secures his claim to the throne, David swiftly seeks to eliminate any opposition. He brutally punishes those who question his rule and targets political rivals with lethal force. As he consolidates power, David becomes infatuated with the stunning Bathsheba, who is already committed to another man. For David, however, this is merely a small obstacle in his pursuit.
