During a routine check-up of expectant mother Vera Sands, Sister Julienne becomes alarmed by the troubling symptoms exhibited by Vera’s young daughter. Driven to uncover the issue, Sister Julienne collaborates with Dr. Turner to investigate further. In another storyline, an overprotective mother struggles with her daughter’s teenage pregnancy, insisting on maintaining secrecy, which frustrates the eager new pupil midwife, Nancy Corrigan.
