Episode Overview

Transforming everyday ingredients into remarkable dishes is a key principle for Iron Chefs. In the Chairman’s Challenge, each contestant is given a traditional flavor pairing to work with. Alton Brown tastes the creations to identify the best and worst performers, with the least impressive chef pairing up with the winner in the second round. A surprisingly straightforward Secret Ingredient is unveiled, potentially causing some tension. The two chefs then craft their most refined culinary takes on this ingredient. Judges Ali Bouzari and Iron Chef Cat Cora will decide who continues in the competition and who is eliminated.
