Episode Overview

Fran goes out with a man named Tony Tattori, only to learn he has mob connections. Terrified for her safety, she struggles to end things, prompting Mr. Sheffield to intervene on her behalf. Coincidentally, C.C. has inadvertently ousted Whoopi Goldberg from their production, leaving a vacancy for a singer, and Tony is eager to seize the Broadway opportunity. Meanwhile, Brighton finds Maggie's diary and blackmails her into servitude until Fran devises a clever plan to help her escape that predicament.
