The Nanny (1993)

Episode Overview

Fran volunteers for a charity auction organized by Mr. Sheffield featuring Bette Midler. A talented 10-year-old pianist, whose father is a wealthy investor, wins Fran as his babysitter for $5,000. They visit Yetta's retirement home, where the boy performs for the residents. Tragically, one elderly woman faints and dies during his performance, leaving the boy devastated and vowing never to play again. His father subsequently withdraws a promised $5 million investment. Bette Midler visits the mansion to help Fran teach the boy a lesson, but Gracie's lessons from Fran ultimately inspire him to play again, securing the investment.
