Episode Overview
Feeling the weight of family expectations, Maxwell insists that Fran sign a prenuptial agreement, leaving her feeling betrayed and doubting his commitment to their marriage. Surprisingly, it's Val who helps Fran see that signing the document might actually be a wise choice. Meanwhile, Brighton suffers an ice-skating mishap and ends up in the hospital, but Fran is barred from visiting him due to not being his legal guardian. Determined, she dresses as a nun to sneak in and express her love for Brighton, Maggie, and Gracie. Touched by her words, Maxwell realizes he'd rather have Fran adopt the kids than have her sign a pre-nup. Meanwhile, C.C. sends a temporary stand-in to mimic her, but the substitute's unexpected romantic interests leave Niles in a state of confusion.
